About Manchester

Manchester’s Live Scene

Manchester's music heritage runs deep — the "Madchester" scene of the late 1980s grew out of The Haçienda, and bands like Oasis and The Smiths remain closely tied to the city. Today it's home to two major arenas: Co-op Live, the UK's largest indoor arena, and the AO Arena in the city centre. The O2 Apollo, an Art Deco former cinema where The Beatles once played, and Bridgewater Hall, home of the Hallé Orchestra, cover the mid-size and classical end, while the Frog and Bucket comedy club has been launching UK comedians since 1994. Whatever the show, TheShowFinder tracks tickets across every major provider so you can compare prices before you buy.
