A Christmas Carol
About this event
A sparse stage. A single performer. And Victorian London springs to life. This is A Christmas Carol as Charles Dickens performed it himself, drawn directly from his original reading script. Through voice, presence and the power of Dickens unaltered words, a whole world unfolds - Scrooges chilly office, Fezziwigs joyous party, the warmth of the Cratchit family hearth, and the haunting visitation of the spirits. The simplicity becomes the magic: no adaptation, no modern reinterpretation just the story as it thrilled audiences 183 years ago, brought vividly to life. Step into the magic of Christmas as Mat Jones brings his acclaimed one-man performance of Charles Dickens beloved festive classic to life this December.
