A Very Victorian Crafty Christmas at the Poor House
About this event
Come along on Sunday 6 December for a very special seasonal Christmas event at the Poor House. This event is exclusively designed for adults, offering a peaceful and sophisticated atmosphere within a gorgeous Georgian setting. While you bathe in the twinkly lights of our tree in the grand entrance of Clifton House, their expert guides will tell a yarn or two about what Victorian life was like for the residents of the Belfast Poor House at Christmas. It is not the Dicken's tale you may think! Research from the archives tell a very different story…one of traditions, festive foods, holidays and cheer! Then under the guidance of Kathleen's Attic, you will get to make your very own Victorian Christmas card, and hear more about its surprising links to Belfast. This is your chance to escape the hustle and bustle, indulge in creativity, and relive the magic of a classic Victorian Christmas in an event tailored just for grown-ups. This event will run in sessions and includes some festive refreshments on arrival. Capacity on each session is limited, so early booking is recommended, particularly if you are coming as a group. Planning your visit: • Booking in advance essential • Please arrive
