About this event
Bristol Phoenix Choir presents a concert on the themes of remembrance and renewal. Rutter's Requiem is on of the best-loved choral works of the 20th Century. Janacek's setting of the Lord's Prayer is a masterpiece of intimacy and dramatic contrasts. It pairs with the intensity of Stanford's anthem For Lo,I Raise Up. The singing will never be done by local composer Mark Lawrence combines a short narrative on the Christmas Truce of 1914 followed by a setting of a poem by Siegfried Sassoon. Cesar Franck's Panis Angelicus will be performed by two soprano soloists. Tickets £15 full price Ages 16 - 25: £7.50 Under 16s: free
