Merseyday of the Dead

Stockport is getting ready to raise the spirits once again this October as Merseyday of the Dead returns for Part 2, bringing another free day of tricks, treats and spooky surprises to the town centre. From Skullstock at Merseyway to Deadrock at Redrock; families can expect a Halloween adventure packed with Day of the Dead-inspired fun on Saturday 24th October. Starting at Merseyway from 12pm – 3pm, families can enjoy a free spooky trail, creepy crafts, sugar skull glitter tattoo makeovers and performances from the Three Amigos, before the spirits rise again at Redrock from 5pm – 7pm, for an evening of safe trick-or-treating, Mexican folk dancing, games, slime making, a Dance with the Spirits and a spectacular Day of the Dead parade finale. After last year's success, families are being encouraged to go all out with their costumes for 2026. Whether it's a spooky skeleton, a wicked witch, a favourite Halloween character or a Day of the Dead-inspired look, there's no such thing as "too much" for this year's celebrations.
