Northern Lights is set to transform Abbey Park into a spectacular festive experience this winter. Taking place from 18 November to 31 December, the immersive light trail will guide visitors through the historic grounds of St Mary’s Abbey and the ruins of Cavendish House, combining dazzling illuminations with specially created soundscapes and interactive displays. Following sell-out events in Newcastle, Manchester and Leeds, the award-winning Northern Lights trail arrives in Leicester for the first time and is expected to attract more than 70,000 visitors. The mile-long route will feature up to 14 illuminated zones, showcasing creative installations, special effects and festive photo opportunities that bring the park to life after dark. Alongside the trail, visitors can explore a magical Christmas Village packed with seasonal food and drink. From artisan street food and local bars to festive favourites such as hot chocolate, mulled wine and toasted marshmallows, there will be plenty to enjoy.
