Patrick Radden Keefe: Inside London Falling

About this event

Patrick Radden Keefe presents his first solo show on London Falling, the non-fiction book of the year. No interviewer, no panel. Just the author unpacking the biggest non-fiction book of the year in his own words, using unheard audio and original visual material from three years of reporting. In 2019, London teenager Zac Brettler fell to his death from a luxury apartment block on the Thames. His parents’ search for answers uncovered a son living a fantasy life as the son of a Russian oligarch, and a city where dirty money buys silence. The author of Say Nothing and the Baillie Gifford-winning Empire of Pain picks up where the Sunday Times No.1 bestseller left off: the dead ends, the doors shut in his face, the strands that never made the book, the sources who have come forward after the book was published with new information, and a rare look at how he actually works, including eye-opening stories from two decades of reporting for The New Yorker, and a revealing discussion of what it takes to win a source’s trust. “A real gift for storytelling, completely engrossing.” Louis Theroux
