Supersonic: Inside Concorde, an Aviation Experience for Ages 10 to 18
About this event
Supersonic: Inside Concorde is a two-hour educational experience for teenagers aged 10 to 18 at Runway Visitor Park, Manchester Airport. An aviation specialist leads a group built around teenagers, exploring the cabin, flight deck and engineering beneath Concorde's wings. Teenagers step aboard Concorde G-BOAC, visit the flight deck in small groups and look at its engines and landing gear. The session considers how the aircraft flew at twice the speed of sound, including its distinctive wings and drooping nose. There is time to ask questions about the aircraft and aviation. Four Saturday sessions are available: 24 October and 21 November 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm; 16 January and 6 February 2027, from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Teen places cost £50. An accompanying adult place costs £25; extra adult places cost £50. A responsible adult must attend and stay, with up to four teenagers per adult. Parking is included. The venue is Runway Visitor Park, Sunbank Lane, Altrincham WA15 8XQ. Boarding involves 26 steps with handrails. Booking and full practical information are available through Foxchaser. Each date is a separate bookable session.
