The Mountain Goats at Bristol Beacon
About this event
The ever-inventive Mountain Goats return with Through This Fire Across From Peter Balkan—a sweeping, theatrical song cycle born from a dream and brought to life as a full-blown musical. Frontman and storyteller John Darnielle leads the band through a set that blends vivid narrative, soaring melody, and raw emotion, charting shipwreck, survival, and revelation with trademark wit and intensity. Expect moments of tenderness and ferocity as The Mountain Goats reimagine their sound with lush arrangements, unexpected textures, and the same unshakable sense of humanity that’s made them one of indie rock’s most beloved live acts. A night of storytelling, catharsis, and connection from a band always pushing toward something new. Plus support from Craig Finn and The Band of Forgiveness Format: Standing in stalls, reserved seating in tiers Age: 14+ (Under 18s to be accompanied by an adult) Doors: 19.00 Tickets £36 plus booking fee
