There Is Hope In Colour at Bristol Cathedral

About this event

Beloved Community 2026: There Is Hope in Colour What can we learn from the past? How do we create a greater sense of belonging in the present? And what kind of future do we want to build together? Join Bristol Cathedral for Beloved Community 2026: There Is Hope in Colour, a day of conversation, music, poetry, film and storytelling exploring race, justice, identity, heritage and belonging. Centred on Let There Be Light, artist Joseph Ijoyemi's proposed stained glass commission for Bristol Cathedral, the event will bring together artists, faith leaders, performers and community voices to explore how art can create space for dialogue, understanding and hope. Hosted by Unkle Mykel, the programme features inspiring speakers, live performances, poetry, film and opportunities for reflection and participation. Visitors will be invited to engage with questions of memory, community and contested heritage, while contributing their own thoughts on the future we want to build together. Whether you're interested in art, culture, history, faith or community, you're warmly invited to be part of the conversation. Tickets £10 - £20
