Wild Lives – Exhibition Closing Event
About this event
Wild Lives is a free solo exhibition by Oldham wildlife artist Anne Bardsley, taking place at Gallery Oldham until 7th November 2026. The exhibition celebrates the animals we share our planet with, from endangered species to the curious, expressive and sometimes mischievous characters that inspire Anne's work. Featuring vibrant acrylic, oil and mixed media paintings, Wild Lives captures the personality and individuality of animals through moments of curiosity, playfulness and quiet reflection. Anne creates her work from her own reference photographs taken during visits to conservation-focused zoos and wildlife parks, where she observes animal behaviour and waits for the small moments that reveal their character. Each painting tells a story, inviting visitors to look beyond appearance and connect with the spirit of the animal being portrayed. Alongside celebrating the beauty of wildlife, the exhibition highlights the importance of conservation and encourages appreciation for vulnerable species around the world. To mark the end of the exhibition, visitors are invited to join Anne for a special closing event. This is an opportunity to enjoy the exhibition, meet the artist and take one
