About this event
Cooking It hosts a vibrant, hands-on Diwali cooking session in Bristol, celebrating light, colour and flavour through fun and interactive culinary techniques. Diwali is one of the most colourful celebrations of the year, and this cooking class explores some of the flavours associated with the festival, including warming spices, festive sweets known as mithai and Indian-inspired dishes. During the session, participants will get hands-on in the kitchen and create a selection of colourful treats and dishes. Menu highlights include: Coconut Ladoos – Quick-roll festive sweets decorated with colourful sprinkles and edible shimmer. Samosa Folding Masterclass – Participants will prepare an easy vegetable and sweet potato filling before learning how to fold it into crispy pastry triangles. Naan Bread Art – Soft naan dough will be pressed into sun and sparkler shapes and topped with nigella seeds and mild herbs. Cardamom Biscuits – Deliciously gooey biscuits flavoured with aromatic cardamom. The session offers a colourful and creative way to celebrate Diwali while developing practical cooking skills at Cooking It in Bristol.
