The foundations of Old Way Vogue Discover the foundations of Old Way Vogue, the original style of Vogue that celebrates precision, lines, symmetry and storytelling through movement. Designed for complete beginners, this welcoming workshop introduces participants to the history and cultural roots of Ballroom before exploring the core principles of Old Way performance. Led by Overall House Mother Koopi Mizrahi, you'll learn the essential elements of the style, including poses, lines, angles, floor presence and the art of musicality, while building confidence in a supportive and inclusive environment. More than a dance class, this workshop offers an authentic introduction to Ballroom culture, honouring the Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ communities that created and continue to shape the scene. Participants will also gain insight into the traditions of Houses, chosen family and the values that make Ballroom a vibrant global community. No previous dance experience is required—just wear comfortable clothing, bring water and be ready to learn, move and celebrate the legacy of Ballroom.
