Last Night of the Christmas Proms
About this event
Christmas just isn't Christmas without the BSO's Last Night of the Christmas Proms concert! Join the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra alongside pianist and Singer Joe Stilgoe at Portsmouth Guildhall on Monday 22 December. Dive head first into festivities and bring the whole family along for this musical sleigh ride. Orchestral classics, traditional Christmas numbers new and old, and a selection of Broadway and West End hits will all be wrapped up with a sprinkling of magic and a great big bow on top. And with Pete Harrison returning as conductor, this evening of festive fanfare is sure to be the highlight of the season! This concert is part of their BSO Pops series – a fantastic array of concerts featuring popular classics that you will recognize from TV and adverts to full-blown symphonic spectaculars showcasing the music of Queen, ABBA and Pink Floyd. The orchestra also performs regular film music nights, which feature some of the best movie classics ever written, and an annual feast of Christmas and New Year seasonal treats.
