Museum at Night – Legends & Lanterns And This Year… After Dark at the Grottoes! Visitors have the opportunity to see Kingswood Heritage Museum and the famous grottoes after dark on Sunday 25 October, from 6pm - 9pm, for a special Halloween adventure, with atmospheric lighting, local legends, spooky stories and characters from the past bringing Kingswood's history to life. A free glass of wine or juice for adults and a goodie bag for children are included. Visitors can then venture into the grottoes! For the first time, William Champion's mysterious 18th-century grottoes will be open after dark. Will visitors be brave enough to explore them? Visitors are advised to bring a torch and wear suitable footwear, as the grottoes are uneven and can be slippery. Perfect for families, history lovers and Halloween fans, this is an opportunity to see Kingswood Heritage Museum as never before… in the dark. And for those who dare… go deeper. History is closer than visitors might think… sometimes it's hiding in the dark.
