Children's Saturday Festive Bakery & Edible Gifts Workshop at Cooking It

About this event

Children can roll, bake, decorate and wrap their own festive treats during this three-hour Christmas baking class at Cooking It in Bristol. Young bakers will spend the morning in Cooking It's kitchen studio creating a selection of handmade edible Christmas gifts to take home. Guided step-by-step by a professional teaching chef, children will develop their confidence while learning essential baking techniques, dough making, chocolate skills and royal icing decoration. At the end of the session, each child will package their creations at the Gifting Station, using cellophane bags, festive ribbons and personalised gift tags ready to give to parents, grandparents, teachers or other loved ones. What they'll make: Spiced Gingerbread Tree Ornaments and Figures – Children will mix, roll and cut classic spiced gingerbread dough before baking their shapes with ribbon holes. They will then learn piping techniques using colourful royal icing to decorate their creations. Festive Chocolate and Cranberry Tiffin Blocks – A rich no-bake treat combining crushed buttery biscuits, cranberries and chocolate, finished with edible gold sparkle. Handmade Snowball Truffles – Children will roll smooth choco
