Fresh Pasta from Scratch Masterclass at Cooking It

About this event

Cooking It's Fresh Pasta From Scratch class takes the intimidation out of making homemade pasta and introduces participants to the techniques needed to recreate a variety of fresh pasta dishes at home. During the class, participants will work with regular pasta dough to create lasagne sheets, tagliatelle and filled pasta. They will also prepare a selection of sauces and fillings to accompany their freshly made pasta. During the class, participants will learn: How to prepare and work with fresh pasta dough. How to turn pasta dough into lasagne sheets, tagliatelle and filled pasta. How to make a simple tomato sauce, puttanesca sauce and sage butter. How to prepare a roasted butternut squash and goat's cheese filling for ravioli. Everyone will make their own fresh pasta, while sauces will be prepared in pairs. Participants can take home their tagliatelle and any other food left over from the session. If there is not enough time to sit down and dine at the end of the class, all prepared food will be available to take home instead. Participants should bring their own containers for taking food home. Some recipes may need to be changed depending on the dietary requirements of those atten
