Kids Cookery Class: Italian Dinner for 4 – Hom at Cooking It

About this event

Young chefs can learn how to prepare a complete Italian family dinner from scratch during this hands-on children's cooking class at Cooking It on Gloucester Road in Bristol. During the session, children will step into the kitchen and learn fundamental culinary skills while preparing a delicious Italian dinner for four to take home and share with their family. What they'll learn and make: Classic Italian Lasagna – Children will learn the basics of preparing homemade béchamel sauce, a rich tomato ragù and perfectly layered pasta. Italian Goodies and Treats – Young chefs will also create authentic side dishes or sweet Italian treats, which could include garlic dough balls or traditional biscotti, to complete their meal. Essential Kitchen Skills – Throughout the class, children will develop useful skills including knife safety, measuring, timing, stove safety and keeping their workspace clean. The class provides a fun introduction to cooking while giving children the opportunity to prepare a complete family meal to proudly take home.
