Flavours of Japan Cookery Class at Cooking It

Adults can discover the subtle flavours and time-honoured techniques of Japanese cuisine during this hands-on cookery class at Cooking It in Bristol. Designed for adults of all skill levels, the class introduces participants to authentic dishes that form the backbone of everyday Japanese meals - simple, balanced and deeply satisfying. Participants will learn how to perfect steamed rice and miso soup before exploring a selection of Japanese favourites, including teriyaki chicken, tempura and classic Japanese pickles. Throughout the session, Cooking It's team will introduce the techniques behind each dish, helping participants understand both how Japanese food is prepared and why particular methods are used. Whether participants are experienced home cooks or complete beginners, the class offers an opportunity to develop new skills, explore Japanese flavours and gain the confidence to recreate favourite dishes at home. The class lasts approximately three hours and includes time to sit down and enjoy all of the dishes prepared during the session. All ingredients and equipment are provided.
