Indonesian Food Cookery Class at Cooking It

About this event

Participants can discover the diverse flavours of Indonesia during this fun and informative cookery class at Cooking It in Bristol. The class introduces some of Indonesia's most popular dishes and gives participants the opportunity to learn more about the ingredients, flavours and techniques behind the country's cuisine. Dishes include gado-gado, whose name means 'medley'. The dish combines a variety of ingredients with a rich peanut dressing and can vary depending on the region and season. Participants will also learn how to prepare beef rendang, one of Indonesia's favourite curries, alongside ayam taliwang, a flavour-packed dish originating from Lombok. The class is led by professional chefs, with all ingredients and cooking equipment provided. Depending on the dishes and activities, participants may work individually, in pairs or in small groups. Once the cooking is complete, everyone will sit down together to enjoy the dishes they have prepared. Any leftovers can be taken home. Dietary requirements can be accommodated where possible and should be provided when booking.
